This has been a long, drawn out year.
I did very little with ham radio. Virtually nothing.
I checked into a couple local 2m nets.
I did a little mobile SSB in my car… although that may actually have been 2024, now that I think about it.
My poor old Suzuki SX4 finally gave up the ghost – just became too costly to repair. Pulled off the cusomt ham plate and sold it for parts.
I might have done a little more this summer, but my mom when into in-home hospice care and that was pretty much everything we did for several months.
She passed at the end of August, may she rest in peace.
Meanwhile, I simply haven’t focused on ham radio at all.
Since I got relicensed during the COVID shutdown, I have been working from home almost exclusively. I was able to squeeze in a little ham activity during the day. But after mom passed, I was back into the office full time.
That really does make a big difference in finding free minutes for other activity even if the commute is minimal.
I guess I’ll see what 2026 holds.
Happy New Year and 73.
