I have not been very active lately. Between work and work I’ve had little time for radio.
I’m a little sad that I’m not doing any CW contacts, that’s really the whole reason I jumped back into ham radio.
Perhaps it’s that there are fewer people doing it, except during events, at which time they send at 50wpm and only want to 599 you and move on to the next 599.
I have zero interest in that kind of ham radio. It feels cheap and sleazy.
And those same 599 people will shit on FT8 and other digital modes as meaningless exchanges with no info aside from a signal report. Oh, the irony!
I have run across a few SKCC folks that want to do extended rag chew CW sessions but my fist can’t hang, I start getting super sloppy and make so many mistakes I get embarrassed.
The WX is getting better, more daylight to spend outside so I suspect radio activity will decline even more!
